Either i finished a story and sent it off to the magazines , or i received a contract from one of those magazines , or a check came in the mail as payment for the story , or galley proofs arrived for me to correct , or the magazine itself appeared in the mailbox , or the manuscript was returned to me with a little note from the editor asking me if i would deign to write more for them
或者是我完成了故事把它们寄给杂志社，又或是收到某个杂志社的合同，或是随电邮寄来的支票，或是画廊寄来样稿要我确认，或是邮筒里出现的有我作品的杂志，或是退回来的手稿，带着编辑询问我是否能屈尊为他们多写一点的问询。
